WHAT CANDY? WHAT TREES?

lyrics

What Candy? What Trees?

Don't bother
Tepid harm
Loosed theorums
Wove shadows
Carved a psychic cross
Upon my arm
The way you people tend
To fight is cause for fleeting
Alarm. I keep telling you
I told you so
Is salt upon a festering wound
Just like that girl named Karno
Said, there are some stones best
Left unturned, there are words even the
Most erudite could live without having said or learned.
The way the wave of pink noise
Bleeds through the sugar glass widows
The mayhem of well laid plans
Mocked from the gallery the plaintive
Procession of widows
Your best intentions fold like cherubs
In hell breezes
In narcissistic echoes
What tears your wings
Is also what pleases
It goes
It's going
It's gone
Raises a glass to waylay repast
The way his wormwood incites
Treason, whets the appetite of folly
Mars the bonnet of bonny reason
At last
Asks Scotch or Irish
Never stops pouring
Raise the jolly roger
Burn the past

Don't bother
Implode right before me
The breeze carries the rabid
Guffaws
Of
Gorgon Zola's
Never comforted
Baby
Named
Maybe.

about

ANTHONY XAVIER JACKSON California

I am a spoken word artist whose passion is music. I use a variety of media to render my works, including traditional instrumentation such as guitar, bass and drums. I also employ synths and all the tools of my DAW to make improv pieces to back my poetry.
LPD, Burroughs, Tear Garden, Watts Prophets, Last Poets, Radiohead… so many influences.
Enjoy.
